Former Noel Baker Academy Student Becomes Dame in New Year Honours list

Former Noel Baker Academy student, Glenda Bailey, has been made a dame in the Queen’s New Year’s honours list. Ms Bailey was born in the Alvaston area of Derby is now the editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar based in New York. After her time at Noel Baker Academy, Ms Bailey graduated from Kingston University in London with a degree in fashion design and as well as an established career in fashion publishing she has also produced a collection for Guisi Slaverio in Italy. Ms Bailey was made an OBE in the 2008 New Year Honours list and has now become a Dame Commander (DBE) for her services to the GREAT Britain Campaign and UK prosperity, charity, fashion and journalism.
